| I'll post this a separate question as well, but those of you who have consulted with Dr. Abbasi, why did you decide not to continue with her? |
| Above post is from the OP. |
| I worked with dr. Rajagopal who is a hematologist who worked with my RE in nyc. She will help. |
Her SART success rates for my age group are close to zero. |
Same KIR AA and after 7 miscarriages ( natural) and 1 failed IVF transfer ( on Neupogen but messed up my progesterone- only 6 at 4 days past 5 day transfer of PGs embryo) we had success with Neupogen and Prednisone and Lovenox and a ton of progesterone- Oral, PIO shots (2 ml) and Crinone 2 x a day. I have antibodies that attack progesterone and the KIR AA ( my husband has the HLa C that causes the most issues with my KIR AA and my HLA C). Abassi amd Bannen were my original team. He was awesome ! She was not as she messed up my progesterone doasage and I moved to a different RE that had much better communication but believes in RI stuff ( Wang in NYC). |
What did she mess up on your progesterone dosage? Most prescribe 3 progesterone pills per day. Did you take an ERA and realized you needed more or fewer days on progesterone? I want to make sure it won't happen to me. Also on your successful cycles, did you also take ivig or only neupogen? |
I was with SG and liked my doctor there. However, I did have a PGS normal miscarriage at 8 weeks, so I was looking for second opinions. Dr. Abassi didn't have much to add in terms of protocol changes - and I ultimately decided not to go with her because her office messed up my (very simple IMO) first consult bill. I also consulted with the Alan Beer clinic and did the battery of immunological testing they prescribed (they work independently from your RE). After all that I ended up not having any immunological issues of note, but miscarried a 2nd PGS normal embryo (on steroid and baby aspirin "just in case")... so now I'm on to a surrogate. |
