I don't have anything like that but I think calling other people "basic" is ..... so basic.
PS I hate that word. Can we please stop calling other people and their choices either "basic" or "ghetto"? Thank you.

Hahaha, yes calling someone a bitch is so much better than saying a jewelry choice is common.

Did you even read the OP?

It’s trashy. But I think most Stella and dot like jewelry is trashy. If you mean like a special gift you received in honor of your child that’s like a diamond band or what have you that’s one thing. Two giant initials made of faux gold or those god awful lockets is another. You can dislike the term basic all you want but it is indeed common and mall-Esque particularly on grown women. But you do you, as the kids say.

I have a necklace with DD's birthstone. People wouldn't know the significance just by looking at it. A few of my coworkers have necklaces with their kids' initials on them. I think those are cute too.

This is not something that bothers me. Except when the jewelry includes a tag that says "I love you to the moon and back." That's cringey.

I have two very thin bands- one that is all diamonds and one that is all emeralds, as my kids were born in April and May- that I wear stacked sometimes. Their names and birthdates are engraved inside.

I purposefully named my daughter a name that starts with a C so that my husband would buy me a Chanel necklace to wear.

I have a WWE style belt that I wear as a cummerbund with my child’s birth stats plus a lock of hair, and dried up umbilical cord.

I don’t wear any specifically with kids names etc. . Dh got me a lovely pair of amethyst and white gold studs after the birth of dd. So I wear those.
