When did you last visit that there was no threat in Paris? |
Yeah, way more crazies here, and everyone seems to have a gun. The risk in Europe of violence (or car accidents for that matter) is much lower in Europe. |
There was some tool open-carrying at Arlington’s Upton Hill pool a couple days ago. I’d say you’re safer in Paris. And the food will be better, too. |
Listen OP, crazy people with guns came to my neighborhood pizza place because they were convinced families eating pizza and playing ping pong was code for some evil conspiracy. Now that’s over and they’ve imagined an even bigger conspiracy with the Q thing. They’re not going to stop until they’ve killed lots of innocent people in the name of “protecting” innocent people. I’m actually nervous staying here. You will be much safer in Europe. |
American roads are more dangerous than European cities.
|
No I don’t worry but I also don’t watch Fox News.
I also don’t worry about terrorism in NYC or gang violence when I’m visiting Chicago and Baltimore. |
That and the dude few doors down dealing from his parents’ mansion. |
OP have a fun trip. 99.99% all will go smoothly |
DH was nervous about this when we went to London last year. We were completely fine, and he stopped thinking about it once we got there. Just do what you normally do to keep safe in cities (keep together, be aware of your location, etc) and know that the statistical chances of being affected by terrorism are truly so slim. Have fun! |
What does being alert mean? Serious question. |
The thought entered my mind when I was in London this summer, but it didn't influence my plans. |
Nope. Justlile I dont worry I will get shot in the US by a crazy white guy. |
OP, although terrorism ranks fairly low on the list of things likely to kill you in the US or Europe, I'm not so sure that having your head in the sand like many posters is a good thing. They obviously have a pro-muslim agenda and will downplay any type of Islamic extremist terrorism like ISIS. Apparently they conveniently forgot about the Paris attack in 2015, which was the deadliest terrorist attack in French history. The Bastille Day attack was only a few years ago as well. |
I’m at CDG right now waiting for a transit flight and don’t have a care in the world about terrorists over here. I’m more concerned with the heat. |
When did London and Paris become independent countries? I didn’t read about that in the news. |
