I think that kind of humor was commonplace back then. I was in college and remember comedians were saying some pretty vile things that everybody thought was hilarious. Not saying it's okay, but I think a lot of people did it to gain popularity.
I think this goes to show how we should be very careful about what we say on social media, because it can come back to haunt you. |
That's the point. Time for an NBA-trade. |
Back then? It was 2010. |
Yep. |
| I wonder if Disney will stop construction of it's new Guardians ride in Disney World |
It... doesn't work that way |
The president said disgusting things and that didn’t bother y’all. |
I think you made the point that I was making.. thanks for the back up. It should not be political. Who cares who called him out on the tweets? The point is: HE IS GROSS. |
Yep, back then. That was the tail end of when people like Dane Cook (gag) were really popular. I think he was just trying to jump on the bandwagon and get some attention. |
+2. And Cernovich should be fired for this, but I’m not even sure who actually employs hims. |

I don’t even work for a huge rainbows & sunshine company like Disney and even I know my tweets and other social media posts can get me fired.
I’ve always had to sign a form about personal conduct outside of work hours and negative reflection on the company at all of the companies I’ve worked for. Right now I work for a company that deals a lot with the various police organizations. One of the papers I had to sign before working here clearly stated that any criticism of police, both on the clock and off, wouldn’t be tolerated and meant immediate termination. |
| Disney knew about the tweets when they hired him, he apologized when he was being considered for the job, and here we are. It is not just black and white. He should have deleted the tweets when he apologized the first time, though. |
| The problem I see with the firing is that he made the tweets YEARS go. I apologized for them YEARS ago, but Disney decided to hire him anyway. NOW they're firing them? Disney needs to do better the first time around. |
*HE. HE apologized for them years ago, my bad. Can you imagine if this was James Gunn defending himself on a random DC board? |
| Yet Michele Wolf was HILARIOUS at the Correspondents Dinner, right? Give me a freakin' break. |
