This issue isn't so much that he had an affair. We know he has had/is having/will have affairs. I think that sucks, but I think it was dumb to impeach Bill Clinton for sex stuff, so I'm going to try an be consistent here and say "MYOB."

The issue is that there was a hush money payment, and that that payment likely came from an account associated with the campaign and required campaign resources, and he lied about it in ways that compromise his integrity as a political leader, and he still refuses to release financial information that other people in his position have always released, and for those reasons it is a big f-ing deal.

The fact he is a walking turd remains true, but is not particularly relevant in this particular alleged crime (or the many others).
