Midnsize or full-size SUV with captains chairs

We have a 2016 GMC Acadia Denali with captains chairs. With the 3rd row folded, it has more cargo space than the Tahoe, which is why we went for it. The new body style (2017) Acadia is smaller. Kids are 3 and 1.5. We have friends that have a Pilot, Atlas, Highlander, and whatever the Kia SUV is and haven't heard any complaints. I'm curious to see the new Subaru Ascent.

I also LOVED my old 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. You can get captains chairs. Only reason we didn't get another one was because I have a 15YO step-DD we needed a bigger 3rd row. The Acadia will fit our stroller behind the 3rd row, Pilot/Hyundai/Highlander would not.

We rented a Traverse on vacation a few weeks ago and I was surprised at how smooth it drove. It was a lower model (smaller engine and cloth seats) but it still had captains chairs.

I have a Honda Pilot Elite with captain chairs and a spacious third row as well. We strongly considered the Highlander but the third row of the Pilot has more space. Also really like the Atlas but was on the fence about long term reliability since it hasn't been around as long as the Pilot.
