Side note, but Adam Carolla talks a lot about not using shampoo. I think people with drier hair types can get away with just thorough rinsing. For a greasy head like mine, I need shampoo!

PP clearly has no idea how curly, dryer, ethnic, thicker, etc. hair works. I regularly go 7-8 days without shampooing my hair and I assure you it's not gross. In fact, my hair really needs the time between washes to produce a bit of oil and looks much better towards days 5-7.

I have heard that color takes better on hair that isn't freshly washed, so there's that.

Those of you who go days without washing your hair are obviously couch potatoes. I work out daily and if I went more than two days without getting my hair wet, you could smell it on this board.

That's because you're white. I'm not being facetious.

Ethnic hair, especially with kink and coil, doesn't need to be washed as frequently, although it can be. It certainly doesn't stink after two days.

In fact we do better when we wait 2-3 days because it doesn't strip out oil protection. Whereas too much oil production in white hair makes you look like Severus Snape.

Yes, if hair is greasy, it looks darker.
If they are color matching roots, I want true color showing. Not the greasy mess.

I didn't say it was hard. In fact, I enjoy it and stay in the shower washing just for the pleasure.

However, I'm not going to do it when I know someone else will do the exact same thing but better the next day.

I wash my hair every day. Not because it is dirty, but because it is short and I have lots of cowlicks. I need to blow it dry, so I wash it when I shower.
