| It doesn't help that Geiger looks like an accountant, does it? He doesn't exude authority or confidence, which makes it tougher for him to maintain control. |
| Cards need to start flying out for dissent and flopping to be confirmed by VAR, in my opinion. |
You don't watch a lot of the game do you? Be it wrong as it is, everyone does it. Colombia isn't the only team do this. The English team would have done the same. So piss off with your "Colombia was a disgrace comment". Geiger is the disgrace. |
Colombia is a joke. They shoot their own players and play dirty. |
Hmmm...xenophobic huh? BTW, 1994 called and it wants it's news headline back. If that's the best you can do, you aren't even worth debating with. Why don't you find a trump rally to attend. You would probably fit in well there. |
I watched it. Colombia was disgraceful. They should be banned from international play. The players and country came off as arrogant assholes. Glad they are out and hope to never see “Colombia Soccer” again. |
And you are a cancer. |
There was one play the entire game that was forceful enough to warrant a red card, and it was when Young stamped his cleat all over Barrios’ shin. When that happened, Geiger somehow called the foul against Barrios, because Young threw himself on the ground. Kane ran into Sanchez first before Sanchez pulled him down. Trippier blatantly threw himself on the floor when he wasn’t touched at all by Muriel. Pickford intentionally delayed kick takers during the shootout. Colombia’s collective attitude was bad, and they psyched themselves out from playing to their strengths, but first of all, England were no saints by any means. Second of all, banned from international play? Get a grip on yourself. Clearly you have some bias against Colombia going into the argument that goes beyond a sporting level. It’s the knockout rounds, people get heated. You know what’s really bad? Look up the Battle of Berne or the Battle of Santiago. That was bad. |
Great post. A post that gives actual examples. |
Go troll somewhere else. |
+1 Come on Croatia! Let's send them home! |
+1 Ditto. Horrible team that deserves what it got. They didn't even deserve to play England and got lucky Geiger was the ref. He clearly felt sorry for them and they got calls they didn't deserve. Alas, it wasn't enough to save the piss poor quality of soccer from that country. |
Colombian soccer has always been crap. Bunch of hot heads who no one should defend. |
This comment is how to tell that the poster doesn’t know the history of the sport. Colombian soccer has always been crap? They’ve won a major trophy 35 years more recently than England have, buddy. Keep waiting for it to come home, might be a while .

| The funniest thing is the “crap country” had comparable stats across the board on possession, passes completed, passing %, and overall shots. They also had twice as many shots on goal as England. But by all means, keep fabricating your own narrative. |
