What’s up with Big Ten schools and sexual abuse and assault?

To date it seems that way.

Of course they are true!

Didn’t happen, and no one who isn’t blindly partisan would make such a ridiculous assertion. Big Ten has a black eye and while I don’t see how it’s somehow indicative of a conference sickness it has now happened on three Big Ten campuses and that’s a terrible look.

Right, it’s just a matter of time before others are discovered. Don’t think all schools or organizations you associate with are immune. Use some critical thinking skills.

But there’s a ton of superior people on this forum. Oh it couldn’t possibly happen to MY college!

It’s not just the Big Ten (which I very much dislike by the way. I’m an SEC gal). A good book to read on this topic is Missoula by Jon Krakauer, about sexual assault at the University of Montana.

No expulsions for sexual assaults since 1998 (could have changed since article posted)? https://www.vox.com/2014/11/26/7294789/uva-sexual-assault-rape

Taking $2.3B accumulated primarily from (non-profit status) medical center surpluses (e.g. from medicare, medicaid, insurance, out-of-pocket), deceptively relabeling it, and using it to support pet projects on the academic side?

The Big 10 are sports obsessed and as long as the teams keep winning, the system will protect the men who run it. Winning programs mean money for the university. As long as the teams are winning, these men were allowed to do whatever they wanted to male and female students.
