| I found ULTA to be a huge ripoff in their salon. I went in once and got a quick cut for which the stylist did a nice job. I gave my email (mistake!) |

OOPS posted too soon.
Every four weeks, I would get a reminder that it was time for my "haircut." And then another reminder that I was late for my haircut. And so forth. Unbelievable. And phone calls started. I felt like I owed them haircut debt. |
| I went to ulta salon to get keratin treatment. I also wanted to do hair cut but i cancel it at the begining and ket them know i bave to stay on budget and just doing keratin treatment.when we finished the jeratin she offered a light triming on the back of my hair.i inforned hair i dont need a hair cut and she said hey the back of your hair is not straight. Long story short she just cut the tip of my hair in one section and it was less than 2 second.when i got ready to check out i saw tgey charged me fie hair cut about 70$.i was shocked because what shw did was not a hair cut or even full trimming. I was angry and told the cashier i canceked my hair cut and explained that she just made one single cut at the tip of my hair and they told me it count as hair cut. I just tip her 10$ since that 70 $ was tajen as granted. |
+1 California, too. A $25 blow-out with an additional 25% off? You would have to be in a beauty school and have a freshmen girl with Hello Kitty tattoos and torn fishnet stockings as your stylist. |
That's outrageous |
Same thing happened to me. I was getting a blow out and the stylized said my hair was not straight, did I want him to straighten it across the back. He cut it dry. It could not have been more than 3-5 quick cuts. No combing for evenness etc. My fault for not asking the price ahead of time. I was charged $70. At checkout I cancelled my blowout for the following week and said this blowout/cut was too expensive and I was shocked by the price of the cut that wasn’t really a cut. |

It's good that you pushed back. My nail salon did this to me the other day. I booked a regular mani-pedi, and upon checking out, I noticed that they charged me for a "deluxe" pedi ($15 more). Literally the only difference was that they spent more time on the leg massage, I thought it was just that the pedicurist I got was being thorough. I am familiar with being upsold - this wasn't that, no one asked me at any point if I wanted to upgrade, as I definitely would have said no. I don't even like the leg massage!
Anyway, they tried say that I should pay it since I didn't object to the "deluxe" treatment but they dropped it when I produced the email showing clearly that I had booked the standard pedi. I'm sure they have gotten away with it with other customers. But it was awkward and I will probably try to find another nail place now. |
I pay $200 for a 1/4 weave, hair cut, and leave with my hair wet in the valley in LA. Can’t imagine Beverly Hills prices. Stop complaining, indeed! |
