Bikini Bottoms and C-Section Scar

I never wanted to wear a bikini since having kids.
Cover up lady.

I know you feel self-conscious, OP, but truly no one has ever said a word to me about it. Half the time I forget I have it. Wear what you want to wear and wear it proudly!

Rhinoplasty that used rib cartilage?

LOL, what? No. I had a cyst on my side when I was seven, and the removal left a nasty scar.

Try J Crew! I've been happy with mixing and matching the bottoms and tops. They have a few different styles that fall somewhere in between low rise and regular rise and are a little more fashion-forward than Athleta, etc with higher cut bottoms, which I find more flattering on a petite frame

Cuz you got fat. Some of us didn't let it all go and we like to enjoy our fine bodies in a cute suit.

I'm careful to load up the area with sun protection, though.

Great advice. Definitely use strong sun protection on the scar area so that it doesn't change color.

Definitely not. You are now someone’s mother. Soon enough, they will be embarrassed if you prance around nearly naked.

It’s called modesty.

Or in your case, obesity.

Haha! False. I was proud that my mom looked good, confident and in shape in 2 pieces at the pool/beach - not like the frumpy moms in the "I gave up" getups

I bought some j crew suits this year and didn't like the bottoms at all. The fabric wasn't elastic enough so they didn't cling where they were supposed to, and sagged in weird places. My DH and i both agreed they were very unflattering. I tried 2 or 3 different styles. I ended up really liking the ones i bought at Boden.

Huh, anatomy is such an individual thing--your C-section scar sounds way higher than mine. This may be overkill, but hell--why not get a pair of bottoms made for you? I'm sure a decent seamstress could do something custom for you.

I see c section scars all around my pool. Totally nbd.

Put some sunscreen on it and forget about it. Wear the bikini you want to...who cares if someone sees a scar? I love scars. They make people interesting...mostly because a scar always comes with a story. Even if that story is that this is how I got my child. I say rock it in whatever suit you like.

wear it proudly. it's a badge of what your body created and brought into this world.

Really?

weird - where is your scar? my scar is low (below pubic hair line), so even the lowest rise bottom would cover it.
