Don't insult your 2 year old by comparing her to Trump.

By the age of kindergarten, most people grasp the idea that there are laws. It's against the law for Trump to rip up his Presidential records. Unfortunately, Trump thinks he's above the law.

Trump does not do this because he has some unbreakable habit. He does it because he doesn't care enough to follow the rules, feeling, as the former "Law and Order candidate", that somehow the laws don't apply to him.

Lartey said he was fired at the end of the work day on March 23, with no warning. His top-secret security clearance was revoked, he said. Later, five boxes of his personal belongings were mailed to his home.

“I was stunned,” he said. “I asked them, ‘Why can’t you all tell me something?’ I had gotten comfortable. I was going to retire. I would never have thought I would have gotten fired.” He signed a pre-written resignation letter that stated he was leaving to pursue other opportunities. But he is still unemployed.

Young, who was terminated April 19, said he fought back and had his official status changed from “resigned” to “terminated.”

“I was coerced to sign a resignation letter at that time,” he said. “Then they escorted me to the garage and took my parking placard.”

He described the firing as traumatic and frustratingly Kafkaesque. “The only excuse that I’ve ever gotten from them,” he said, “was that you serve at the pleasure of the president.”

I was surprised that the mention of the firings was at the very bottom of the Politico piece. I assume this means that there is now no one attempting to preserve the records, and this is by design. I can't even wrap my head around any of the news about this administration anymore.

And on a much less important note-- What is the deal with him just tossing trash on the floor?? Who does that?

And yet if the littering thread in another forum is to be believed, it's mostly poor and black people who do it.

Think it’s mostly angry people who do it. They feel they have no control over their lives and this is a passive aggressive way to act out.

I’m serious when I say this is impeachable. (Not with the goal of removing him...necessarily)

Get on it Congress!

The two fired men are on CNN right now. They are both African-American. I'd be interested to learn the demographics of the civil servants who have been fired from the President's records office.

Yep. Obama and Clinton would have been impeached over this.

At least they can tape the torn up papers back together. This isn't nearly as bad as the Obama administration who destroyed or "lost" thousands of digital records. So as it turns out, Trump is an improvement over Obama in yet another area: He destroys far less records.

Yeah, no one’s biting on “Real Clear Politics.” And if you want to talk destruction of records, let’s look to the Bush Administration.
