OBX is SO trashy, unless you remove the Brew Thrus, tattoos, pot bellies........

I really don't need OBX to try compensate with elevators in the houses to try to woo me; I don't go to the salt water to swim in a pool; and I am NOT a fan of having my children cross a highway to get to the beach.

There is just NOTHING to do there. I don't need a boardwalk or commercialism - there are PLENTY of beaches/areas that are a happy medium without the trash, thank you.

Also consider Wild Dunes in SC. Near Charleston, nicer than Folly.

I love Kiawah Island. It is gorgeous and uncrowded. Honestly, not a lot to do but relax which is nice. You can drive into Charleston and hit the aquarium.

I also really like Rehoboth.

Why so bitchy? Seriously. So you don't like OBX or you're too good for it or whatever . . . so make some constructive suggestions rather than just putting down what other people think is nice to make yourself feel better.

That said, I second (or third, I guess) Hilton Head. FWIW, I also like Corolla in OBX.
