If your child takes Vyvanse...

My ped rx periactin as an appetitie stimulant. It was a game changer. He has gained 10 lbs and grew 2 in last year!

Also, we tried dexedrine as a short term booster and it worked. I can't believe we didn't try dexedrine before. I'm sticking with Vyvanse b/c it lasts longer, but dexedrine did not take away his appetite, didn't affect his sleep, and he's a lot happier.

My 13 year old is on 40 mg- he is about 80 pounds

Since he is growing we do not want to increase his dose now— so he probably could use a bit more but ee are stickimg with this

I'll ask the doctor about this. OP here. He could stand to gain some weight though. He just has zero appetite after breakfast until after dinner. He has been eating more these days and sleeping too so I know he is growing through a growth spurt. One day last week after a marathon weekend sleep session, he actually looked taller when he came down the stairs.

Most drs will pull younger, pre-puberty kids off meds in summer so they can regain weight or at least ours said she does.
