Best time of day to Workout

Google ‘fasted cardio’. But if a.m. workout is too tough for you, then whenever you can fit it in is good. I personally cannot work out after work. I feel way too sluggish.

Nah! I just lost 70 lbs mostly working out in the afternoons. I have seen the claim that something happens hormonally if you do it on an empty stomach but the same can be done if you just stop eating 2 hours before the workout. As for the claim that you can't put Truvia in your cofee first thing in the morning, BS. I always have a little something before I work out. Otherwise I just can't perform as well.

As for what's physically "optimal," again this depends on the former. Some feel best in the morning. Others feel best later in the day. Do what works for you, and do it consistently.

Agree so much with this. My "optimal" time of day is about 5:30 PM but guess what, I will never make it to the gym at that time of day, just not going to happen, not with needing to get the little dictator I live with fed and off to bed. However, a slightly less optimal time of day that I CAN make it to the gym is in the early afternoon when I take my lunch break. Do I work out with the intensity or for as long as I would if I went at night? No, I'm a little sluggish, I'm time restricted to my hour lunch break, it's far from perfect. But I can make it happen on a regular basis. As a bonus, I don't feel any mommy guilt because I'm not "stealing" time that I could otherwise spend with my kid to go to the gym. I have to take a one hour lunch every day so I might as well spend it at the gym.
