We've done Montreal, Las Vegas, Disney, and a long weekend at a B&B with wine tours in VA. Lisbon was on our list the year we did Montreal, but we chose the cheaper trip. For our next trip we're looking at Iceland but I'm tapped this year from kid expenses. *sigh* Real life interferes again.

Montreal is a lot of fun.

DH and I did dark dining at O.noir. Blind waiters serve you surprise food in complete darkness.

We were grabbing a beer at a bar and I told DH where we were going next and he was like, "that sounds so stupid"

but he still talks about it as one of the coolest dining experiences he's had. Good food and reasonably priced too!

Ojo Caliente in New Mexico sounds right up your alley! Hiking, spa, restaurant, culture! All covered! And affordable. Go during the week.
