No letter yet, but breastfed, no screen time allowed, and several enrichment activities and my child has no time to play or whatsoever. (j/k)

Did you sing and read to your child in the womb or not? (add that too)

Hmm... I took it the whole opposite route. Didn’t breastfeed. Kid watched lots and lots of TV. Too young to play with iPad. Stayed up late and daily diet consisted of lots of sugary food. Oh yeah, and no enrichment activities.

Ok, this made me laugh out loud!

Who’s checking for letters in the mailbox today? I am!

I mean, I check my mail every day, but I am really not expecting an AAP letter until Monday.

Do you get a letter only if your child is accepted or do you also get one if they did not get in (but you put together a packet). Just wondering.

EVERYONE. If you don't make it first round, the letter tells about what to do for appeals.

This is the the dumbest thread I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot for DCUM.
I hope when your kids get to be teenagers, you look back on this craziness and laugh.
Nervous and excited to get the letter??? For 4th grade AAP??? It really shows that we live in our own little bubbles. There are so many more important things to worry about. Your child's life will go on and progress whether they're in AAP of not.
Plus, why be nervous?? If they belong there, great. If not, you should be much happier they are where they belong and do well. Struggling in a class they were not meant to be in only ends poorly for everyone.
This obsession with AAP is absolutely ludicrous.
In my humble opinion of course...

I think most of the nerves and excitement is for 3rd grade AAP, not 4th. Does it make sense now?

You think it's the dumbest thread and you're still....here! Just because you disagree, it doesn't mean what other people think or how they are is wrong.
