Same here! Anyone have any anecdotal evidence about people actually moving off the waitlists?? Haha.

What schools, what grade, and what are your numbers?

Hey, sorry, new / bad at message boards! We’re 5 at garrison. In the 20ms for some of the hill spots but already writing those off.

For pre-k 4 (...I will get better at this! Ha)

Our 3rd grader has numbers ranging from the 40’s to 60’s for the same schools below, but I’m shocked at the numbers for our 1st grader. We may have a shot!

Or you could move to NW.

Check MD PARCC scores by school before you put down an offer. Plenty of schools there with fewer than half on grade level.

I'm looking to talk to parents disappointed with the MySchoolDC lottery results first thing today because they are the ones that may have to make difficult life decisions soon for their children: private school, move, neighborhood school. If you're free for a quick 10 minute interview at your home or work, please email me at ndbaca@sbgtv.com. I'd like to talk to parents who got their top picks too - but I'm needing to find families scrambling to find options first. Thanks!

Then focus on parents of older kids -- not PK3. The parents of little ones aren't in desperate straits yet -- unless perhaps they are in Ward 7 or 8. And likely not on this message board.

Unfortunately the Brent PK waitlisted usually only move 0-5 spots. Often they bump back (your number increases because so many families move to the neighborhood over the summer).

Lot of space in NW if you are willing to live in apartment for few years.

I wouldn't be surprised if that particular PP was a suburban troll...

And channel 7 was is owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, so maybe they should get together. Then they can run a story with the Betsy DeVos narrative. Buyer beware...

Once the first grader gets in the third grader can move to the top of the list if you applied at the same schools.
