If I said what's on my mind
You'd turn and walk away
Disappearing way back in your dreams
It's so hard to be unkind
So easy just to say
That everything is just the way it seems

You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it's getting harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be

I can't get any stronger
I can't climb any higher
You'll never know just how hard I've tried

Cry a little longer
And hold a little tighter
Emotions can't be satisfied

You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you still see
A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it's getting harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be

Songwriter: T. Scholz

There's a reason beyond "More than a Feeling" that Boston was such a good band

Wrong lyrics or wrong song. THIS is More than a Feeling.

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away

So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
as clear as the sun in the summer sky

It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away

When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
and dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away

It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away

I'm the PP who put in the lyrics. Sorry I know it's The Man I'll Never Be. I forgot to put the title. Was just saying that More than a Feeling is not the only great Boston song

OP here. This is the song that better captures my feelings:

My Best Was Never Good Enough

Every cloud has a silver lining, every dog has his day
She said, "Now don't say nothin'
If you don't have something nice to say."
The tough, now they get going, when the going gets tough
But for you my best was never good enough

"Now don't try for a home run, baby
If you can get the job done with a hit"
Remember, "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits"
"The sun don't shine on a sleepin' dog's ass"
And all the rest of that stuff
But for you my best was never good enough

"If God gives you nothin' but lemons, then you make some lemonade"
"The early bird catches the f**kin' worm,
Rome wasn't built in a day"
"Now life's like a box of chocolates,
You never know what you're going to get"
"Stupid is as stupid does and all the rest of that sh*t"
Come'on pretty baby, call my bluff
'Cause for you my best was never good enough

Jesus this is a pity party.

Jesus this is a pity party.

Yes. Not to mention the weirdest, vaguest pity party ever.

OP, I have no idea what the problem is, since you haven't really explained in any detail, but it sounds like 80% of the identified problems could be solved with joint finances and an agreed-upon budget. But if you would rather listen to Bruce on repeat and cry into your beer, you do you...

Whenever a guy says that a woman wants a medal for being a mother, usually what he means is that he doesn't do anything to raise his own children, and then he gets angry when she get sick of being exploited.

If you both work and have separate finances, you should pay your fair share of the childcare (same percentage of each of your salaries).
