The hands-down, 100% of the time, best store to buy cheap clothes?

Kohls, Old Navy, Target, even Childrens Place when they have sales + coupons

You can buy brand new socks from eBay sellers, my husband did it. So don't rule out that avenue. But be careful to check for shipping charges on what may otherwise look like a good deal.

Not sure if this would meet your needs but I do all of my shopping for kids clothes as the Leesburg outlets. It is a trip for us so I only go once every 4 or so months. They have a Gap, Gymboree, Carters, and Oshkosh B'gosh. They also have a Stride Rite outlet as well.

The Childrens Place end of season sale at Potomac Mills. I got my kids summer clothes for next year a couple weekends ago (i just buy one size up as I have very skinny kids) for about $1.30 a piece. Everything was $1.99 plus I had a coupon, plus I get 10% off if I use their credit card.

I like Old Navy for Boys and I look for their 40 percent off sales (usually twice a year). Target is OK for some things, but I find their stuff to fall apart easily and not fit on my son as well. I have also found that Gymboree can be supercheap if you get on their mailing list. They constantly have sales and extra bonus coupons.

OP here -- I should clarify that these clothes are for ME, not the kids. Durability is not an issue at all ...

Also, I wanted to clarify that I don't want to shop sales. I mean, I will shop sales if something is on sale and I'm standing there anyway, but I don't want to chase sales. I just want a go-to store, every time.

I recently bought 7 pr. of women's underpants at Walmart for $6, regular everyday price. And a 2-pak of bras for $10.

so. Which, if any stores could beat/match this kind of deal?

In that case, I would say Kohl's for the combination of selection and price (i.e., you could buy your whole wordrobe there). Target and Old Navy have some good prices, but you wouldn't be able to get everything there.

I agree on Kohl's, although I have found their regular clothes to be somewhat hit and miss on things I would actually wear.

But honestly, you will not find a store with lower prices than Wal-Mart. They are the absolute cheapest.

Another vote for H&M. Got some cool, funky, cute stuff there for dirt cheap. Great place to stock up on, for example, socks.
