When was this? At Oyster or at Adams?

It was at Adams. Someone who was armed (but not an active shooter) walked into the Hilton around the corner. This is the same Hilton where President Reagan was shot.

Really shocked the news didn't pick up on this, with 4 elementaries, a high school, and I presume a middle school all on lockdown. The lockdown at Bancroft lasted 1.25 hours, and the kids were terrified. Took me forever to calm my daughter down last night.

I did see a news van in front of Roosevelt, but why is this really “news” worthy? Aren’t you subscribed to news alerts of some sort. No one was injured or killed.

I heard a parent was caught in the crossfire and barely missed getting hit -- bullet hit an empty carseat.

That sounds pretty crazy and upsetting, and newsworthy.

I saw the pics. A parent was waiting to pick her kid up at school and bullet came in through windshield and into the car seat. Terrifying and truly makes me once again think about living in this neighborhood.

Have you been paying attention to our national news for the last, say, 20 years? Shootings have happened all over the country, in every type of place, schools, churches, urban, rural. You are not safe anywhere. Don't fool yourself.
