Looking at the numbers you posted, sure his are the highest but it is not as if they are so drastically different... not sure why you are outraged!

Pop a Xanax and chill.

You know they bought that house, right?

What you saying they're not allowed to sell it when Sasha graduates?

They had rented it through Sasha’s graduation, then they decided to buy it. That doesn’t indicate to me that they plan to sell it when she graduates.

I talked to a Trump R about this just this past weekend. The answer I got was, "no, because the weekends are 'his' time whereas Obama was notorious for golfing during the workweek, which is 'the people's time.'" Not even lying, this was their honest answer. I was glad it was a very bustling party so that I could just walk away and completely avoid them for the rest of the evening.

You could not figure this one out by the last sentence from the the OP "I am sick and tired of Obama."?

Why do I suspect OP was sick and tired of Obama -- and "outraged" -- starting in 2008?

Do you usually freak out over things you suspect but aren’t sure of?
That’s not healthy.

Ex-President Barack Obama will be the costliest former commander-in-chief, with taxpayers shelling out $1,153,000 for his expenses in 2018, according to the Congressional Research Service.

His budget request is more than $100,000 higher than George W. Bush’s for next year and nearly $200,000 more than Bill Clinton’s expected budget.

George H.W. Bush is slated to get $942,000, while Jimmy Carter will get less than half that, at just $456,000, according to a memo prepared by the service, which was first reported by the Washington Times.

All living former presidents get an office, expenses and, in some cases, an annual pension payment, because of a 1950s-era law enacted after President Harry Truman turned out to be broke after leaving the White House.

The biggest expense for ex-presidents is renting office space.

Obama’s office — 8,198 square feet in Washington — will cost taxpayers $536,000 next year, the most of any ex-president, the paper reported.

Clinton’s Harlem office cost $518,000 and is bigger, at 8,300 square feet. W’s office in Dallas cost $497,000, while his dad’s place in Houston is $286,000. Carter’s Atlanta office costs just $115,000.

Obama’s pension payment is also the fattest, at $236,000, while Clinton comes in second with $231,000. Bush the younger pockets $225,000.

This is making my blood pressure up. I am sick and tired of Obama.

To quote from Forest Gump: Are you stupid or something?

You need only look at that Orange Turd in office to see the most expensive president for taxpayers. Mar-a-Lago, NYC, DC. Plus his kids from his many wives. Plus, to boot, he is openly profiting from it! So spare me your outrage.

I feel both Obama AND Trump should be more sensitive with the public treasury.

Can't we go back to Eisenhower?!?

You are complaining about 5 and 6 figures when Trump is raping the country to the tune of 8, 9 and 10 figures. Wow.

PP here and I was just explaining what the facts were with the house in Kalorama. I love Obama and I don’t agree at all with the premise of this thread, just saying I still think they’re going to spend a lot of time here even after Sasha graduates. There was a lot more coverage of them initially renting the house than there was when they subsequently purchased it.

+1. Also the most recent and the youngest. It's no surprise that presidents are cheaper when they get old and stop moving around so much, see Carter, Bush Sr.
