I just turned fifty!

It definitely feels a little strange - it sounds so old. I feel like I should be turning forty, not fifty. That being said, I'm in a great place in my life - great husband, kid, job. Parents still alive and healthy. So I feel very fortunate, if a little stunned at really truly being at the upper end of middle-aged!

Fifty is not 'the upper end of middle-aged'. Middle-aged starts at 65.

I have tips. Age is nothing, Meaning, it does not matter how old you are chronologically. It is how you feel. Note your birthday, and Happy Birthday, then move on.

I'll use that line on the cute gal who is much younger than me at REI next time. "Don't run away! I FEEL young."
