+1. PP has "I, and only I, suffered the most" germ. |
| California state schools. |
+1. From OP's perspective, the fact that some dead folks had some other dead folks as slaves 200 years ago is about as relevant as the fact that the US murdered hundred of thousands of innocents in Vietnam (and multiple other countries). He or she is just asking where they don't discriminate Asian kids as a group, so Sweden (and all other countries mentioned above, including Canada) would be worth exploring. Grow up. |

Caltech isn't race blind
http://finance.caltech.edu/documents/479-cds2017.pdf Their CDS marks "racial/ethnic status" as considered. You'll have to look at these Common Data Sets and see which schools list "Not Considered". UCLA is one of them. |
The state of Florida has been race-blind since around 2000. |
+1 also almost anywhere in Eastern Europe. they all have degrees in English which are comparatively cheap. but you will actually need to study. college abroad is not about "experience and "fit" |
seriously and what do asians have to do with it anyway? their only fault is that they are good in school. |
+2. Prague, Ljubjjana, so many other amazing cities and universities over there...hopefully smart Americans will start voting with their feet soon. |
there is maybe a handful countries in the world where there is no sordid history of own group oppressing another. but Americans being Americans think they invented slavery and discrimination. pathetic provincial ignoramuses |
those are some great examples for US to look up to. |
+1 Doh! Another idiotic Social Justice Warrior who doesn't know sh*t but calls other people dumb. |

I absolutely had to Google this about programs in English in Eastern Europe and the Baltics. Vilnius University's bachelor's programmes cost only 1900 euros a YEAR?!?
Charles Univ. in Prague would be incredible too but I'm not sure how healthcare works, the isolation factor as an international student, cost of flights home etc. Is there a person out there with experience of these universities? |
I'm often stunned at the sheer ignorance on this site. All European nations were involved in the slave trade and colonialism in Africa. Here's Sweden's role. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_slave_trade |
I don't have experience with these particular schools but in general - the student is likely to feel somewhat isolated. but the thing is, most students are. there is no strong sense of ''class' or alumni... most students live off campus often with their parents. the overreaching goal is to get a degree not have fun, in fact few people have fun. College years are not considered to be particularly pleasant, something people remember fondly. |
nah, you don't get it. americans are exceptional!! they invented everything, good and bad! have you not heard of american exceptionalism? |
