Favorite off the beaten path/hidden gem place to go

So many places on the west coast of the south island are just incredible. My wife and I were the only people at Jackson Bay, which is the southernmost point reachable by road. A pod of little Hector's dolphins came to visit us. It was magical. Thanks for reminding me of this experience, PP.

There were very few Americans in the Azores and in parts of Norway. Both are wonderful

Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Cool vintage movie theater, lots of b&b's, and less expensive massages at the state park. Some good restaurants. Low key and relaxing.
