I disagree with this. In summer, when you're already hot the second you step outside - even in the morning in shorts and the thinnest of tank tops that barely qualifies as a top - there's nothing you can do, clothing wise, to make it better. |
Not PP. clothing wise, maybe not. But it’s not an excuse not to run. There are plenty of things you can do to make the run tolerable. Run by effort, not time or pace. Carry water. Plan a shady route. Bring along a cooling towel. |
I don't run outside when it's below 30 degrees, icy, or heavy rain. I don't mind a light drizzle, but I just can't do the heavy downpour.
On the flip side, I don't run outside when the heat index is above 100 or even in the 90s most of the time. |
