How often to visit ailing mother in faraway country?

I wouldn't change my visit schedule, I would just enjoy her, do what I can to help her during visits and say goodbye like it will be the last time seeing her, every time.

Your sister is just kind of going with the flow, so you kind of have to let go of anger/roll your eyes and make peace with her not providing the best care and not being a great communicator. With circumstances the way they are, you aren't able to change anything.

I meant to say, I'm sorry OP, and that it happened to me too, and it is very hard coping with dynamics like this.
