I'm going to look into this, thanks!

Please do. We had been trying for a very long time, did not see an RE, started the diet, got pregnant. And felt amazing.

Op, what doctor would start fertility treatment in 2 months when you have to loose 40-50 pounds.

I don’t think there is any safe way to loose this much this fast.

Why can’t you reschedule the fertility treatment.

Op here- I'm not expecting to lose that much weight in 2 months. I said ideally I'd like to lose 40-50 lbs before I got pregnant but understand it may not be that much as I start femera at the end of February/beginning of march. My RE is completely fine with me going forward with the meds at my current weight. She said obviously losing some weight (even 10%) could be helpful at achieving this but there is no danger in me getting pregnant. I'm 5'3" and around 170 lbs. I'd like to be around 130 ideally but would be happy with a 20 lb weight loss before getting pregnant. & no, we aren't re-scheduling.

Hi OP- I have PCOS too and a similar BMI to you when I was ttc... I was put on metformin and worked out a lot. I tried not to follow a rigid diet - just portion control and eliminating a lot of mindless snacking. I lost about 10 percent of my weight and got pregnant very easily. Good luck to you!!

Thank you! That's very reassuring. I'm on 2500mg of metformin and have started walking 1.5 miles a day, 4 days a week so hoping this helps!

That’s good.

Are you also looking into physical activity to help raise your metabolism?

OP here- I just posted this but yes...I currently walk 1.5 miles about 4 days a week. I also have a fit bit and make sure to hit my daily 10,000 step goal.

Op make your own shake perhaps? I like almond milk, chocolate protein powder (optimum nutrition is good) spoon of almond butter dash cinnamon and ice, sometimes extra unsweetened cocoa powder:
.

Sounds like you are on your way to weight loss. If you can add weight lifting that helps, but nutrition will be key.
