It would have been more appropriate for you to have stated to the person that they were blocked for legitimate reasons involving what you thought was a breach of DCUM rules and possibly the law, and that you were not willing to take that risk with a business that you run.

That poster is anon. Jeff wasn't making an accusation, he was explaining a situation. I for one, am fairly surprised at what the poster is willing to admit to, and appreciate that Jeff lets us have some insight into the things he has to deal with on a daily basis.

Agreed. My point is that people who go to those lengths are generally mentally not fit. I would be very careful, would I Jeff (given he has to put out who he is as moderator) when dealing with people like this.

I believe when you run a site where your bread and butter is ensuring anonymity, exposing people you do not like to the general public in the forum is not wise. You do not know how far others will take things because you can't ensure the mental fitness of every poster. Furthermore, when you engage in name calling and accusations, you open yourself up for criticism.

I've stated before and will state again that my statements against your behavior on forum do not extend to you personally and/or professionally. I don't know you and respect you for having built this business into what it is. Entrepreneurship is to be rewarded. I recognize that poster by his comment "as I said before, you can't get rid of me." That is the same phrase - "you can't get rid of me" - used by the poster trolling to upset Jews with simultaneous asinine threads on the religion forum.

I know that you (Jeff) can block IP addresses, but can you identify and block specific devices? I'm thinking this poster, who now admits to being (a very childish) 21, has graced us with his inflammatory comments throughout the forum. I can't imagine he'd go over to friends' houses to use their devices, so would that work in making this troll go away?

Yes, it is the same poster. I don't comment on what I can and can't do because that would be providing helpful information to people like the OP. I prefer to keep them guessing. But, I will say the OP is already discovering problems posting that she likely didn't expect.
