If a friend had the nerve to tell me that I “sold out” for the money because I choose to earn real money in-house or wherever, maybe it’s just me but I wouldn’t be politely nodding along to her choice of chasing 65 year old surgeons. Isn’t she also selling out —or to be exact selling something else? If people don’t critique my choices, I go along with theirs; once they start criticizing me, I don’t feel as compelled to say - whatever makes you happy.
