Is this really what friendship looks loke for two 30-something men? Unbelievably immature

Women critique men's size and abilities or lack of them.

Mine has THE most inane conversations and group texts about college football, college basketball, NFL football, NHL hockey, you name it. I’d almost welcome something juicy!

When we were newlyweds, DW's Bunko group was nothing more than a chance for the girls to get together and discuss the sex they were having with their new husbands.

I found out so much more about my friends' sexual preferences and kinks than I ever heard from them.

pretty normal

I'm a 40 something woman and I joke like this with a few friends (no pics though).

Op here. I'm not pissed, it just seems pretty surface-level and immature compared to what I would expect for a friend he's known for 30 years.

Celebrity nudes is pretty lame. I think filthier conversations are normal. My last group text had one guy use the word "ass" casually (like "big ass something or other"). Another guy keyed on that to start joking about anal sex. Which, in turn, led to some gay sex jokes.

Definitely immature, but all in good fun.

I would make fun of him, so that he realizes he's stupid.

Seems really lame. But my husband left his chat with a friend open and it was just pages upon pages of discussion of a recent soccer game, which is also sort of lame.

because talking about window treatments, latest pinterest pins, etc. is definitely not lame

Um, I never talk about those things, and neither do any of my female friends. Mostly politics, work, our kids. Nice gender stereotyping, though.

Yup

Not really. Every so often my husband and his friends will get into a whole "You know who's REALLY hot?" conversation but that's not the majority of their talks.

My husband left his gchat window up on the family computer the other night and I saw the thread of conversation with his best friend. It was mostly a request to share celebrity nudes, chatting about women they think are hot and his friend chiming in with self-depricating humor about how fast he ejaculated in a recent sexual encounter with a woman. (Luckily there were no comments from my husband about me ornour sex lufe - I would be pissed if he were giving his friend the kind of details his friend is sharing!)

Is this really normal for guy friendships??

No problem there. Womens conversations are often as immature , people just goofing

Same + video games and cars. Yup. Grown men. Well educated professionals with advanced degrees. Other hot topics are stocks and recently, Bitcoin and other cyber currencies.

Normal. You have a stick up your a**. He’s probably overly immature with his friend because he can’t have any fun around you.
