I think it depends on why you travel and what you want out of a trip. It also depends on what you do on trips.
I've traveled extensively and for many different reasons. I can have a great trip and meh take it or leave it trip to the same locations depending on what I do while there / the weather / what I wanted out of it. |
| Also Mexico and Italy. Seem dangerous and dumpy to me. |
|
Hawaii
It's so far away, and we have much nicer beaches on this side of the world. Just don't see a 12 hour flight and 5 hour time difference being worth it. |
|
OP here!
I said Italy because I am not very interested in the Italian architecture, the food, or the art. I know it seems like blasphemy. I can't help it! Mexico explains itself a little more.. There's just too many tropical looking places to go without worrying about cleanliness or safety. |
Why on earth would you think Italy is dangerous and/or dumpy? |

Mexico
Las Vegas Florida Dubai Israel Anywhere in the Gulf for that matter |
Southern Italy is a tad chaotic compared to Northern Europe, but that's part of it's charm imo. Still, wold never call it dangerous or dumpy. |
+1. Also, most of Florida. You can't pay me to go there! |
Great food, beautiful beaches |
I've never been to Hawaii, so can't really compare. But what beaches on "this side of the world" are much nicer? Also, I'm pretty sure Hawaii *is* on this side of the world. |
Have you been? |
| New Orleans is amazing. I'm glad I finally went and I'd go again for the right occasion. But I'm in no hurry. |
Is it kid friendly? Was thinking of going with my kids next year. |

| I never had any interest in going to Las Vegas but DH really wanted to go so we did and it was actually really fun. We had a great trip. |
