Quit exercise, lost weight, now what?

I’ve experienced the same. Pilates is a great option combined with walking. It has worked for me

I have the same problem. When I don’t exercise, my body seems to be good at self/regulating my appetite and I a stay thin easily. But when I do exercise, I have an insatiable appetite and become food obsessed. Shorter fast runs don’t affect me as much as slower longer runs though. So I never do long runs.

I like the idea of Pilates, so I’m going to try that.

For years, short runs and vinyasa yoga were the perfect combo, plus Nordic skiing in winter. This summer I started weight training using the New Rules of Lifting for Women. I build muscle very easily and my body shape is noticeably different. I am 2 lbs heavier but still small ( five foot two and about 116 lbs). I don’t know how I feel about it. My muscle definition is great and I am so much stronger during everyday tasks. But on the other hand, I am much tighter and stiffer, I AM thicker because I haven’t tried a “ cut” yet and frankly I don’t know if I like looking this “ jacked.” We will see.
