dog breeds you don't get

Schnauzers. They don’t do it for me in appearance and we had one when I was a kid that was insane (bad breeding, poor thing).

I do not like little, yappy dogs. I would never own a dog that weighed less than about 40 pounds. Basically rats that bark.

Pit bulls. Ugly. And they are dangerous.

I think pugs are kind of cute. The ones I’ve seen have really funny personalities too. I only really like dogs from the hound group to own, but I like pugs a lot.

Dachshunds are small, but they don’t yap. They sound like big dogs when they bark. I would only own a small dog 25 pounds or less. They are cuter and easier to take care of. Cheaper too.

Doxies are cool, I like their temperament, but they have crippling back problems. They're the wrong shape.

French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Yorkshire Terriers, Shi Tzu, and those poor little inbred Chihuahuas.

Maltese's. Sure the show version is fine looking, but no pet is ever groomed that well, or has their tear stains managed all that well. Any time I have walked my lab near one the owner (inevitably an older lady) picks the thing up protectively and it growls/barks at us.

Pit Bulls. I always wonder why someone would choose one of these types of dogs over so many other breeds to choose from that are just as cuddly and loving as pit bull owners claims their dog to be.

Pugs are the best! OP your are right this was a mean thread. My pug is smart, funny, cuddles, easy to travel with. Pure joy. Pug love forever
