Leaf blowing neighbor

Ah, I guessed there was some underlying issue. I can understand his irritation if he doesn't have trees, but you do and they're the leaves in question.

If you're out there anyway with your leaf blower, is there any reason why you'd think it's unreasonable for you to get the leaves on his side too that also came from your tree? Obviously not if there are fences and things involved, but if you're talking about the front yard then I honestly can't see what the fuss is about.

Not really. Nobody can control which way the leaves blow, that's insane. And you clearly can't read since it was a service that did the cleanup, and it's pretty obnoxious for him to blow them back intentionally.

OP, do you have a dog?

Train him to crap in the neighbor's yard. That should make him apoplectic.

A service will perform whatever service she requests and pays for. If my trees are dropping leaves onto his yard and I'm paying for guys to come out anyway then yeah, I'd just ask them to get the ones that fell/blew on his property too, and pay/tip them extra for it. If I don't enjoy picking up leaves from my trees then I can't expect my neighbor to want to do it either. Or should he have to arrange/pay for a service too, when he doesn't even have trees??

Film him, so when you do call the police you have evidence. Also film some of the crazy if you can get him to do it again.

to cut down the tree in my yard

so he has asked, and you have asked
his behavior is much worse
but why this is any great surprise to you .. it shouldn't be
you have a bad relationship

OP, here, thanks all. No, PP, I'm not going to pay a service to rake / clean my neighbor's lawn, that's absurd. I pick up tons of magnolia leaves from one of his trees when they shed, and yes he gets some oak leaves. All these are from trees planted long before any of us got here.

I just couldn't believe how obnoxious he was. Shouldn't have been a surprise but on some level I don't understand why people would be overtly antagonistic toward people that they live only a few feet away from.

OP as shitty as this is, blowing them back into his yard just keeps you engaged in this unhealthy, passive-aggressive behavior.

Let....it....go!

Police? No crime is being committed. Learn how to resolve problems like real adults do. It will help you in life.

My neighbor just spent hours on Sunday blowing ALL the leaves into our culdesac. Wtf. How about raking and baging them instead? Why do I want your leaves blowing on the street? They also then just clog the gutters.

+1 Don't listen to the maniacs on DCUM. Having a nutter for a neighbor is bad enough....don't escalate.

Sorry, OP. Your neighbor sounds possibly violent.

Worrying about leaves is a waste of energy.

don't escalate. We have a neighbor that doesn't believe in leaf blowers and thinks we should just rake our giant yard with tons of trees/leaves.
We pretend that we care, and are sympathetic..and when they pull out of the driveway on a saturday, we blow the everliving crap out of the leaves in our yard...
People are weird. I want them to call the fire department when our house is on fire and will do what is necessary to protect our relatively friendly neighborly relationship.

Did I say she should call the police?
