Kings and queens
And bishops too Wanna wish the best to you So, wish-day, wash-day, what do you say, birth-day, Happy Birthday .....to you! |
| no..... |
|
Yes! The kids at my son's (Catholic) school all sang it this way as the second or third verse of Happy Birthday. This was in grades K-2.
When I was in high school we sang: May you live a hundred years And drink a 1000 beers. Get plastered you bastard Happy birthday to you! |
|
May the dear lord bless you,
May the dear lord bless you, May the dear lord bless and keep you, May the dear lord bless you. Or Happy birthday to you, You live in a zoo. You look like a monkey, and you act like one, too. |
| Isn't that the only way to sing it? I'd be confused if it wasn't sung fully and I expect to hear kids do fake sneezes. It's fun and you are ultimately wishing the child well |
| My kids sing it that way at school. |
|
Yes, we did the sneeze thing.
Happy birthday to to you You live in a zoo You look like a monkey And smell like one, too |
