Fashionable, yet afforable workout clothes

Lucy is closing and was sold to north face. Recently all Lucy was 30% off and final sale.

Love the Old Navy tights.

Tops I get on sale from Athleta, and even some Old Navy.

I buy my stuff at Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx on deep discount. I have stuff from Under Armor, Puma, Adidas, Nike, etc. I don't care about wearing matching brands.

And yes, women spend a TON of money on work out clothes. What my DW spends on a pair of yoga pants, I can buy 2 or 3 full outfits at TJ Maxx.

T.J. maxx. A ton of selection and high quality stuff. Also check out factory stores at clarksburg outlets. Tons of athletic stores.

I second T.J. Maxx. Also Marshall's and Nordstrom Rack. I would never spend money at Lululemon for something I sweat like crazy in.

I've tried Target's Champion, Old Navy, Under Armour, Nike, and Lululemon. I was hoping to like the cheaper ones, but unfortunately, I tend to stick to Nike compression leggings and Lululemon. The quality of Target, Old Navy, and Under Armour are fine. However, on my body type (bigger hips, smaller waist), those brands tend to fall down if I run. No amount of tying strings makes them stay up. I haven't had the problem with Nike or Lululemon.

I shop Lulu online and only buy from their "We Made Too Much" selection, so that greatly cuts the price. Despite loving their pants, I also won't spend more than $50 or $60 on clothes to work out in!

Thanks, PP. I'm the Lucy shopper above and didn't realize they were sold. I ended up getting a number of things 30-50% off from the final sale. It ended up averaging $25/item so I'm not too concerned if not everything works out.

Most lulu tights are actually between 108 and 128 a pair.

I buy a lot from target. I also recommend going to Dicks and checking out the sale racks. I've picked up some great reebok and adidas workout clothes that way, and then I get coupons to use as well.

Another vote for Nordstrom Rack!

Asics sale for leggings and quick dry tanks. My favorite leggings cost $25 at their factory stores. Like many other posters, I have thicker hips/thighs, but a small waist.... had difficultly finding pants that didn't slide down during a workout. Target's champion brand sports bras and shorts are great, too.

Lucy is being incorporated into the North Face. Lucy and TNF have both been owned by the same parent company for years (VF Corp). They couldn't get the rights to the Lucy name in other countries, which limited Lucy's expansion/profitability. That's why they're being incorporated into TNF. If you like Lucy products, the same products will continue to be available under TNF logo. (A friend works for VF.)
