Why is my ex who lives in NYC in front of me at my neighborhood coffee shop?

An obscure coffee shop by my apartment on a random Saturday afternoon dressed super casual.

News flash: Most people dress super casual on Saturdays.

That said, I would literally have a heart attack if I ran into my ex around here since he lives in Florida and never leaves the state, especially not in winter.

You sound really annoying.

+1. OP is either mental or still in high school. Probably both. Doing a 180 and changing ur plans to run out of the building? Grow a pair.

Totally surprised. I was literally right behind my ex, caught me so off guard.

Again, are you SURE he wasn't at a Christmas Party last night, uninvited? Where are my peeps?

Maybe. Zero clue what my ex does.

On second thought, I didn’t really feel like coffee anyways.

Aww, geez. My peeps will get the "uninvited guest" reference. Where are you all?

I take it you want us to say that you're so amazing that they are totally in love with you and stalking you. Or they could be in town and remember they really loved that obscure coffee shop. Every time I go to a city I used to live in, I go out of my way to go to a coffee shop that I love

That’s the thing, I never showed my ex this coffee shop!

You mean he found it all by himself? How'd you let him get away - he's all growed-up!

I saw my ex today at our son's gender reveal party. We had a nice conversation. What, exactly, is the problem here?
