Is this weird? Christmas card question

Haha. Asking for a *friend*.

I think it is a bit odd for adults to send pictures of themselves as Christmas cards to all and sundry. Could you send out regular Christmas cards and only include your cute picture in the cards you send to close family and friends?

Your dog is probably cuter than some of my friend's kids!

We would love to get your card, it sounds really cute!!! Go ahead and send them out, just skip your sister and your mom.

OP here: We are only ordering 20 cards and sending them to family and close friends. Definitely were not planning on sending them out to acquaintances or people we barely see or talk to. This is just for close family (parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles) and then close friends/close family friends.

Actually, I would counsel that you should send them out to everyone, not just close friends and family. I don't even know you but I would love to get a card as you've described.

ha! she is pretty cute! She's a 10 month old chocolate lab mix. I bought a corny santa headband (from the dollar spot in target) for her to see if she'd actually wear it because I thought it would be cute if she did and she actually walked around it on her head the other night for 10+ minutes. So we were planning on taking a cute pic of me, my husband and her in her little santa hat headband in front of some Christmas trees this weekend.

My brother and his wife send Xmas cards of just them and her parents send one of the whole family! Son, daughter, spouses, kids. It's not what I would personally do but it's Christmas - and if it makes them happy who cares!

Not weird, but if you JUST got married (and did save the dates, showers, invitations and thank you notes) - I might kind of be sick of getting mail from you.

Posted too soon - is it a not-so-subtle hint from the old people that they would like to see some little ones????

+1 i had a friend who was single and has a mastiff. She sent a card of her and the dog wearing a huge bow. I kept it on the refrigerator all year.
