My dad recently always has a blues music channel on DirecTV. For a while he got into zydeco stations on Pandora.
He was a teen in the 60s so he does love to sing along to anything from that era and tell me "I was in ______ when this song came out." It's really sweet. Sometimes I introduce him to something a little more hip or indie that I know he'll love and he gets excited and calls his brothers to recommend it to them. Also really sweet. |
same as my dad. |

Mostly classic rock/R&B: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Crosby Stills & Nash, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin...pretty much anyone who was at Woodstock or Monterey and then some.
I love their music, and mostly listen to it, groups from my formative teenage years in the 90s, or modern indie music that sounds like either of those. |

My father was partial to blue grass and classical. He also liked folk and some rock.
I like almost everything, but I listen to audio books more often than music. |
