High betas first and second. Miscarriage chances??

Going through IF treatments, there will always be another hurdle and another worry. I'd tell you to relax, but we all know that will never happen. I always tried to reel in my excitement to stay cautiously optimistic, even after years of crushing losses. Truth is, betas mean nothing other than today you are pregnant. In fact, that was my motto.

That said, I'm pretty sure everyone who responded before me mistook your original post/correction. Your beta was 1,760 at 14dp5dt aka 19dpo, which is MUCH different than 14dpo. That is a nice, stron beta and I would not worry about multiples quite yet--seeing heartbeat(s) on an U/S is the only way to know if you are having twins.

To answer your questions--yes, I had 2 high betas and then an 81hour doubling time. She is now 26 mo. I've also had high betas (identical twins) and a mmc at 9w. Doesn't mean either of these things will happen with you, but I know how the 2ww (and then the next 2ww) messes with your head and makes you Google ALL.THE.THINGS!

Crossing fingers OP...unfortunately, at this stage, it could mean anything.

Thank you all!! I guess I just need to relax and wait.. ahh so hard)

oh this is 14dpt not 14 dpo. then they are not that high. which is good OP. very highl betas could incidate molar pregnancy.

not necessarily true. I had a very high beta too -- high like OP's. Singleton.
OP -- TRY to stay optimistic and positive! It sounds like good news. Congrats!!!

If this is the first beta after 2WW, then it is very high. As one of the posters said, it doesn't really matter low or high as long as it is in the range, and the range is very wide. But high is always better than low. Is this a PGS tested embryo?

My friend (who is older than OP) just had BFP after IVF and her first two beta numbers were similar to yours, and she didn’t need to do the third beta because the second beta was already in 4000s. She is with SG. So I wouldn’t worry about the third beta. Remember, the beta increase slows down after it hits 1200 so the doubling time need not be 48 hours anymore.
I’ll be crossing fingers for you OP. Good luck!!!

This. I only had 2 betas (first was 261 and 2nd was 526). My clinic found that sufficient enough to stop betas and wait for the ultrasound at 6.5 weeks. I had twins.

Congrats to you. The beginning is so exciting and scary at the same time. Try to think positively and enjoy every moment, because you are pregnant!

It's funny how different clinics are. My betas were a little lower, 200 and then 500, and they had me do 5 betas in all! Plus multiple progesterone tests and ultrasounds. Singleton though.

Congrats, OP! I think this post is spot on, particularly the mantra. I am a few weeks further along than you (ironically in both age and pregnancy). I did a fresh transfer of 2 day-3 embryos the last week of Sept. I am currently 7 weeks and feel like I have been wound tightly since the monitoring appt when they began counting follicles. First it was how many eggs will they get, then it was how many embryos will grow, then it was am I pregnant, then it was will these beta keep rising, then it was will they see a heartbeat. To manage it all I focused on doing the things I could control: eating well, taking my meds, sleeping (ive been hella tired this past month). Happily I saw a heartbeat at yesterday's u/s. I know I still have genetics tests in about a month but at some point I need to stop and just be happy and count on my body.

Good luck!

Hello everyone, OP here.
All my betas were doubling. I had an ultrasound today. Measuring 6weeks 1 day, heartbeat is 96. Doctor said its on track and heartbeat is normal for this stage.
