Like one of the PPs said, he can easily find someone who doesn't already have kids and not have to deal with baggage. I'm sure you love your kids but it's very hard for parents to accept that a new partner is never going to love their kids cos ultimately...they're not the partner's kids. Stepparents get hated on a ton, plus I don't think he'd be thrilled about possibly supporting your kids part of the time and he's never going to get anything out of being with you.
