How so?
I know plenty of MBA's that received decent promotions/new jobs or careers after competition of their program. Obviously these degrees are from Top 50 programs

You sound bitter OP. Did you spend a lot of money on a masters degree that you now consider useless? Go into student debt?

I'll start: masters in liberal arts

That's a degree feel in grad school?

Journalism, my field, sadly, qualifies at this point.

+1. Same here. Social media allows anyone to be a journalist now, and most publications don't want to pay real writers anymore. It used to be a worthwhile field of study. I have a masters in journalism, and did very well until the Great Recession hit. Then I didn't want to work for free as a content mill provider.

This is the degree you would have to teach history in schools or at the community college level.

It’s just the typical know nothing response. MBAs are very useful, practical and increase your earnings. The posters are just clueless and have no idea what is taught.

+1 went from $94K+bonus pre-MBA to $140K+bonus post-mba (28 yrs old) with enough contacts, close friends and memories to last me a lifetime. Admittedly, went to an M7.

A lot of programs in "dream job" areas that are not from the top school in the field and where jobs in the field are rare and usually go to someone with just a bachelor's and good connections (or a top MBA and good connections). For example, Sports Management.

I have an MFA in studio art and I make 6 figures
most in my cohort make 60 -120k (professors)

Maybe 20 years ago. I know many PhDs who are now fighting for liberal arts jobs at community colleges.

I have this degree. It got me my current job making just over 6 figures before age 30. People in my grad school cohort are making similar salaries or more. Try again.

A Masters Degree in anything should get you better than part time working the front desk at a hotel. As much as she flaps those know it all gums she should be raking in the dough.

You sound deeply, deeply disturbed.
