Nice. Just like the Richard Montgomery Security Team Leader. So, the MCPS Security Team has some issues, IMO. |
Yeah, because everybody knows that female teachers never have sex with their students. What a ridiculous statement. |
|
If you're really appalled and feel as if you're hearing about scandals all the time, then you don't understand math or the media. There are 12,000 teachers in MCPS. There probably weren't even 12,000 students in the whole district you grew up in. Even in my small town, a high school girl got pregnant by the wrestling coach. But we had no internet and it wasn't in the local paper or on the news, so it wasn't publicized like things are now. Just because you're hearing about (RARE AND UNLIKELY) incidents now doesn't mean it's any more common than it ever was. And with a district of 150,000 students, the odds are that a few awful things will happen every year.
|
Especially when MCPS keeps known predators in schools and moves them around to hide them for decades. Then it's a guarantee that dozens of awful things happen every year. MCPS has a list of all the suspects. Did you miss that news? |
Show us a link to that news. |
DP here I would have to dig to find a link. But there was definitely a story last year about how MCPS had a long list of staff that it suspected of sexual impropriety. But that they just kept the list and didn’t necessarily place any limitations on those suspects. I wonder if this para was on their list. |
NP. I certainly remember that. |
Female sex abusers are a tiny fraction of the male abusers. Duh. |
Don't you all LOVE the way these public school officials always say: They "consider student safety their highest priority." What a bunch of stinking LIARS!! |
I think it was this one. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/longtime-maryland-teacher-sentenced-to-48-years-for-child-sexual-abuse/2017/08/04/9840acfe-790f-11e7-8839-ec48ec4cae25_story.html?utm_term=.d15210d0fc31 |

PP - That was a terrible story but that’s not what the other OP’s are thinking of (I think?).
It was a very specific article that talked about how MCPS kept a list of suspects and somehow it got leaked. Unfortunately I can’t remember if it was WaPo or someone else. |
| Geez...I know him! |
Here it is... http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/social-worker-montgomery-county-public-schools-has-a-sex-offender-problem |
If this is true, I'm surprised no parent has sued the school about this. |
What!? The other offender this week is also a child of MCPS employees. What is going on? |
