She never changed her name. |
A pregnancy is not that long. |
| Men do not gossip. |
| Miranda (and Steve) ruined SATC for me — so repulsive and annoying. |
| Thanks audience is to assume he is out of the bar deal and doesn't keep in touch with Steve. |
I would agree. In the second (horrible) movie, when he "happens" to run into her in Abu Dhabi, she's very surprised he has three boys. Clearly Steve and Aiden aren't planning play dates. I would imagine if they were in business together, their kids would occasionally play, and Miranda would know. |
This is an excellent point. |
Pre social media craze. Now everyone stalks everyone. |
| Carrie ran into Aiden in early season 6 - first episode, I think. Miranda and Steve were not together again. Steve was dating Debbie. |
Right. But they have Brady, so they see each other. Wouldn't you mention the fact that someone else you know is having a baby? Especially when you are an outlier in your circle, the only one WITH a baby? I can't imagine not telling the father of my kids that was business partner was having a baby. If not only because "now we aren't alone!" |
NP but I think this underscores that we were supposed to assume that Aidan and Steve were no longer partners. Remember all of that fuss about how Carrie destroyed him after the second breakup that we heard from the "face girl?" Maybe not surprising that he would want to pull out of a business he had with Steve and maybe leave the city. |
This explains a lot more than most women probably realize! DH is one of three boys. Sample phone conversation: BIL: Wanted to let you know that Larla had the baby last night! DH: Wow, that's great! Hey, what was up with that bogus call at the buzzer during the Spurs game last night? Can you believe it??? (Conversation continues enthusiastically dissecting the game. Despite new fatherhood, BlL clearly is aware of what went down at the game.) 15 minutes later, DH is off phone and tells me Larla had the baby. Me: So, how are they? Everyone healthy? How much did it weigh? Do they have a name picked out? DH: Uuhhh, I dunno. I guess everyone's fine. Me: You didn't ask about any of it? DH: We talked about the Spurs. I am not even exaggerating for effect. Believe or not, DH and BIL are both incredibly devoted and involved fathers. |
