I know lots of people who have gone back to work when kids are in early elementary and are looking for something 10-15 hours/week. They're usually ready to ramp up to something closer to full time in a few years when the kids are more self-sufficient.
I think you'll find plenty of takers if you work your schedule around school hours. I also think that if you find a good person, 10 hours is going to seem like half of what you want them to do! |
| There's a Facebook moms group for Bethesda/rockville/Potomac moms. You could try posting there. |
| Employment lawyer here. It is illegal to post a job specifically seeking for one sex. So, while this may seem obvious, you should not seek "Stay at home MOMS" in the post. |

Just want to chime in to thank OP for reaching out to SAHMs, recognizing that there are skilled and talented professionals who are looking to get back into the workforce but are often overlooked because their availability isn't totally full time yet. I wish there were more opportunities like this. So often, moms (and dads) feel pigeonholed into an all-or-nothing position: you're either a full time WOHM or full time SAHM. I know a ton of parents who have some hours to dedicate to professional work during the week (like when kids are at school) but they're not able to find positions that fit their schedules. Here's hoping more employers embrace flexibility/job-sharing.
OP, there's a head-hinting agency called FlexForce Professionals that hooks up employers with professionals, often stay at home parents transitioning back into the workforce. I'm not sure whether tourney have to pay a finder's fee but may be worth checking out. Otherwise, Facebook and Nextdoor are excellent resources. |
I'd like to discuss further with you, if possible. Please send contact information. Thank you.

| We just hired a SAHM for a PT position off Craigslist. Had posted on a neighborhood listserv, but got better SAHM candidates on CL. |

Is there an office at most military bases that helps with spouse employment? If so try the one at Walter Reed in N. Bethesda. |
