Prestige is being at the top of your field. And even more so if it's a difficult to master, lots of education/experience required, lucrative and commercial field.

And I say this as someone with a Phd in esoteric Buddhism who does market research for Japanese companies. No I'm not the best...just was too practical for academia after age 27...

Swedish male PP here - thank you; you understood where I was coming from. And yes, I noted where the countries were because I've learned from experience that most people in the US have...well, trouble finding either country on a map.
