+1 Hogan sucks. Worst gov since that jerkoff Erlich |
No thanks. Unless it means none of these stupid 3 and 4 day weeks for grading, parent teacher conferences, PD days, etc. Not everyone has the luxury of an extra two weeks of summer leave plus all those days during the year. Our school doesn't offer camps on the days off during the year, so nearly all my leave already goes to cover those and the last week before school starts when camps are hard to come by. |
As a working parent, the longer summer was a financial hardship. However, there has not been a change to the amount of days/hours required, so the compressed calendar means fewer random days off and shorter breaks. |
Just because you say it doesn't make it true! Surveys have found that Hogan is one of the most popular governors in the country. You need to get out of your DC area bubble more. |

Not sure about Maryland but I spent my money at the DE beaches. Rehoboth is so much nicer then OC which is just gross.
And I agree with the other poster. Less 4 day weeks and random days off. If we could just get rid of the early dismal days then it would be even better. |
Hogan is awful and Rushern Baker is going to stomp him into a mudhole |
We have been going to OC for the last 2 weeks of August for years and it did not seem anymore busy this year compared to previous years. There has always been plenty of people the last week of August. |
Don't bet the farm on it, hon! |
| There is both a mandated end date and a mandated start after date so next year will be the real test. Though maybe it won't be in effect by then |
