Whoa. I have had a very busy week with a sick child and a husband with Leukemia. I have been off of dcum for this week and ironically logged on tonight and saw this post on the front page of recent topics. To all of you who have responded, a huge thank you! And yes by all means AL Anon is a fabulous resource I am sure and can't wait to check it out. (We just moved two months ago, so I will have to find one). I truly mean that. I read a book about sibling addicts and it didn't quite give me what I am looking for or needed. I think looking for the good in him and al anon is a great solution. Thank you all again! |
Good to hear your positive response to seeing if Al Anon can help. I believe it can but please do yourself a favor and try different meetings over a month/six weeks. Gives you a better shot at finding a meeting that will suit your needs. |
