Neighbor's cats running wild in Arlington

I bet it is not cats pooping in your yard.

Cats bury their business.

Pooping in a garden? Yes, that will happen.

Poop in the middle of your yard? That is not a cat.

Don't they have rats in Arlington?

You want outdoor cats.

OP, have you ever seen foxes in your neighborhood?

If the poop is out in the open and not buried, it is most likely foxx poop and not cat poop.

Fox poop is about the same size, and foxes poop in the open just like dogs do (on top of sidewalks, paths or in lawns).

Cats poop where they can bury the poop, so cat poop will not be in the open or in your yard.

Time for OP to apologize to the cat for speeding #FAKE NEWS

I would call animal control and report it as a lost cat. I'm an indoor only cat owner and have no tolerance for outdoor cats.

Definitely not a cat pooping in the open.

OP, here. I've seen a fox at the other end of the neighborhood (0.75 miles away) near the woods but not at ours that is much less forested and close to office buildings. I've seen the cats using the grass in a neighbor's yard to pee. I didn't confirm that the cat pooped there, but given the pee in grass, I assume it's possible. It's not dogs given the fencing, so seems quite possible it's the cats. Have never seen raccoons nearby.

We had cats pooping in our yard so that is not true that they don't. I saw them do it- picked one up who continued to poop as I carried him (he was very old). I sprayed the edges of the lawn with pepper spray mix (careful if it's windy as it can blow in your eyes). Google to find out more. Even black pepper (go to $ store) will work. GL.

It's kind of shitty to file a false report with animal control-- plus what if they trap the cat and it is euthanized? Why not talk to the owners as a first step? Put out mothballs, as others suggested. Is the cat really hurting anything? No. As many have said, it's not the cat that is pooping in the open.

Oh well, perhaps they'll keep their next car indoors.

And yes, cats poop in the open. I have personally witnessed this. Do not tell me what I did not see.

There should be a special place reserved in Hell for people who let their precious cats outdoors.

Just sayin'.........
